Our Name

The Korowai is an important symbol in Māori culture as it represents mana (spiritual power, prestige, and authority), whakapapa (genealogy and interconnectedness), and the physical and spiritual protection of the wearer.  

The Korowai can also represent the emotional needs of a person. A Korowai is often used to provide comfort and warmth. The Korowai in our name, symbolises our driving motivation in our wrap-around care model. Our health care team provide a sense of comfort and support to our customers and their families.
